Man suffers life threatening injuries in Toronto crash; driver charged

TORONTO — A 41 year old man is fighting for his life after the car he was a passenger in crashed into a light pole in Toronto’s east end and then flipped on its side.
The crash occurred early Saturday morning in Scarborough (Brimorton Drive and Albacore Crescent).

Police say the vehicle slid across a sidewalk before coming to stop.

They say the driver, 31 year old Anton Boldyryev of Beaverton, was arrested and charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm.
