MANILA, Philippines – According to a radio report on Friday morning, the Sandigan Bayan has allowed former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to undergo urgent uro-dynamic testing at St. Luke’s Medical Center.
The report said that the procedure is not available at the Veterans’ Memorial Medical Center where Arroyo is detained for plunder and graft charges.
The permission was granted after the medical director of VMMC has certified that they are unable to carry out uro-dynamic testing, the report added.
On November 14, 2013, Dr. Antonio B. Sison signed a medical certificate, stating that “these irreversible and progressive developments may cause serious impairment of hear health and danger to her life unless attended to promptly.”
According to doctors’ diagnosis, Arroyo is suffering from cervical spondylotic radiculopathy; degenerative lumbar spine disease, and post cervical spine decompression with instrumentation.
