Maja hates being a mistress

Maja Salvador is happy that “The Legal Wife” has been dominating local and worldwide Twitter trends, but in reality, she hates her mistress character, Nicole Esquivel.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, she said: “Gusto kong sabunutan ’yung sarili ko sa TV. Ay, nakakaloka! Grabe, ang hirap nung character ko, ang hirap maging mistress!”

( I want to pull my hair on TV. It’s really crazy! My character is tough to portray, it’s tough to be a mistress!)

But she cleared that she’s up to the challenge.

“Iyon ’yung trabaho. At siyempre, may mga Kapamilya tayong nakaka-relate, na at least, dito sa teleseryeng ito, makikita nila ’yung bawat sitwasyon ng mga characters namin,” she said.

(That’s my job. And of course, we have Kapamilyas who can relate, at least in this teleserye, they will see the situation of our characters.)

She added, “Sa totoong buhay, walang may gusto maging kabit, ’di ba? Hindi mo alam kung paano ka mapupunta sa ganoong sitwasyon. Magigising ka na lang, ’di ba, na nandoon ka na, na-in love ka na sa isang taong may pamilya. Isang araw, magigising ka, home wrecker ka na.”

( In real life, no one wants to be a mistress, right? You don’t know how you will reach that kind of situation. You will just wake up, right, that you’re already there, and you already fell in love with a family man. One day, you will wake up, you’re already a home wrecker.)

The plot continues to be exciting as Monica (played by Angel Locsin) has finally discovered that her husband Adrian (Jericho Rosales) is having an affair with her best friend Nicole.
