Celebrities from around the world took to social media to congratulate WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao after defeating American fighter Timothy Bradley, Jr. on Sunday, April 13 (PH time).

Among them were local boxing champs Nonito Donaire, Jr. and Brian Viloria who posted their congratulatory messages right after Pacquiao’s victory.

NBA star Jeremy Lin, PBA heartthrob Chris Tiu and Pinoy skating whiz Michael Christian Martinez also used social media to congratulate the Filipino boxing icon.

Aside from athletes, TV personalities also posted their messages of appreciation to Pacquiao.

TV host Mario Lopez took a selfie shot with Pacquiao, coach Freddie Roach and the whole team, while TV host Piers Morgan posted several tweets about the fight and the Filipino boxer’s mom.

“Great fight. Two superb boxers. But easy win for @MannyPacquiao

“Love @MannyPacquiao ‘s mother. Great night for The Philippines,” read some of Morgan’s posts.

Retired world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis also posted his thoughts about the fight and a possible rematch between Pacquiao and Mayweather.

“The only difference in this fight was the judges got it right this time. Bradley is a warrior. Just not in Mannys league,” he tweeted. “I think @MannyPacquiao and @FloydMayweather should fight each other as the last fight for both of them.”

Meanwhile, Filipino actor Luis Manzano surprised the netizens when he tweeted that he bet “3M” on Pacquiao.

“People are once again asking if im betting 3M again on Pacman , i always will, ill always put my bet on Pacman! 3M here we go!!!

“My 3M is ready! Pinaghirapan ko rin tong pusta ko, ( I worked hard for this bet) lets see!!! Wish me luck!!

Until he clarified later that he was just joking.

“Yeah baby!!!!!! Nanalo ako 3M pizza!!!! Magpapabili sila! bakit naman ako tataya ng 3 million pesos?? Hahahaha,” read his post.

( I won 3M pizza!!!!They will ask someone to buy! why would I bet 3 million pesos??Hahahaha).
