(Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pnp.pio\/photos\/a.479051708802757.105004.462115693829692\/1464963133544938\/?type=3&amp;amp;theater\">Philippine National Police\/ Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA\u2014The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday disproved that there are 7,000 cases of extrajudicial killings (EJKs).<\/p>\n<p>\u201dWe just want to disprove &#8216;yung persistent and irritating claim by some sectors that there are 7,000 cases of EJKs,\u201d said PNP chief Director General Ronald \u201cBato\u201d Dela Rosa in a press conference in Camp Crame, Quezon City.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dDrug lords could be behind attacks against campaign on illegal drugs,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>It was noted that since the start of the war on drugs in July 2016 until March 24, 2017, there were 6,011 homicide cases.<\/p>\n<p>However, the PNP said that only 1,398 cases are drug-related.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dImportante masaya ang taumbayan (It\u2019s important that people are happy).
