Arvin Encinas, 6th Infantry Division spokesperson, in an interview with the Philippine News Agency, said the 20-minute ambush took place in Sitio Pinagdaanan, Barangay Hinalaan, of the said locality at 10:40a.m.<\/p>\n<p>He added that a platoon from the MBLT-2 were conducting security patrols in the area in the wake of NPA recruiting reports, when ambushed by an estimated 10 rebels, triggering a 20-minute firefight.<\/p>\n<p>The NPAs quickly retreated after sustaining an undetermined number of casualties.
