(Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/SisterSledgeOfficial\">Sister Sledge\/ Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>NEW YORK \u2013Joni Sledge, who with her sisters recorded the defining dance anthem \u201cWe Are Family,\u201d has died, the band&#8217;s representative says.<\/p>\n<p>She was 60.<\/p>\n<p>Sledge was found dead in her home by a friend in Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday, the band&#8217;s publicist, Biff Warren, said Saturday. A cause of death has not been determined.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn yesterday, numbness fell upon our family.
