Just a day after the PNP rejoined the anti-drug campaign, at least eight crime suspects were killed in different gun encounters while 21 were arrested in Bulacan province yesterday. <\/span><\/p>\n

According to PNP Provincial Chief Sr. Supt. Romeo M Caramat Jr, the suspects were either killed or arrested in 19 raids, some of which turned violent when the suspects started firing shots against policemen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Three of them were later on identified as Elmer Pagsanjan, Francis Bondoc and Errol dela Cruz. Police reports indicate that the three fought the lawmen in a buy-bust operation at Barangay Mabolo in Malolos City, Bulacan. Eight sachets of \u201cshabu\u201d and two revolvers were recovered.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a different operation in Sta. Rita, Pampanga, police had arrested Renato Reforma and his wife, Lourdes who were caught carrying six sachets of shabu.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, operations in the Negros Island region down south resulted to the arrests of more than 20 drug suspects and confiscation of shabu amounting to nearly P100,000.<\/span><\/p>\n

PNP Director General Ronald dela Rosa said on Monday that \u201cProject Double Barrel Alpha Reloaded\u201d is a joint campaign with the PDEA and local officials targeted to catch big-time drug suspects and groups. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
