LONDON\u2014Lindsay Lohan claims she was \u201c<\/strong>racially profiled\u201d<\/strong> while wearing a headscarf at London’s Heathrow Airport.<\/p>\n

The actress told a British talk show that she was stopped while travelling to New York.<\/p>\n

She said an airport worker \u201c<\/strong>opened my passport and saw ‘Lindsay Lohan’ and started immediately apologizing, but then said: ‘Please take off your headscarf.\u201d<\/strong>‘<\/p>\n

She told \u201c<\/strong>Good Morning Britain\u201d<\/strong> on Tuesday that the incident made her wonder \u201c<\/strong>how would another woman who doesn’t feel comfortable taking off her headscarf feel?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lohan was returning from Turkey, where she recently met President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.<\/p>\n

She said she wore a headscarf in Turkey out of \u201c<\/strong>personal respect.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lohan, who has been photographed carrying a Qur’an, says she finds \u201c<\/strong>solace\u201d<\/strong> studying the Muslim holy book and other religious texts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
