(Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/MoonlightMov\/photos\/a.877287772404204.1073741828.644501249016192\/985891064877207\/?type=3&amp;theater\">Moonlight\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>NEW YORK\u2014The screenplay for \u201cMoonlight\u201d and the scripts for \u201cThe Americans\u201d and \u201cAtlanta\u201d were among the winners of this year&#8217;s Writers Guild Awards.<\/p>\n<p>Barry Jenkins&#8217; script for the Oscar-nominated \u201cMoonlight\u201d won the Guild prize for best original screenplay. Oscar nominee Eric Heisserer of \u201cArrival\u201d won for best adapted screenplay. Best documentary screenplay went to \u201cCommand and Control,\u201d based on a telescript by Robert Kenner and Eric Schlosser and story by Brian Pearle and Kim Roberts.<\/p>\n<p>The awards were presented in New York and Los Angeles on Sunday night by the Writers Guild of America, West and East.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Americans\u201d featured a team of seven writers and won for best television drama series.
