(Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/JustinBieber\">Justin Bieber\/ Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>TORONTO \u2013Several Canadians will be going for gold at Sunday night&#8217;s Grammy Awards, including two of the country&#8217;s biggest pop performers.<\/p>\n<p>Drake and Justin Bieber will square off against country singer Sturgill Simpson and pop powerhouses Adele and Beyonce, who are all nominated for album of the year.<\/p>\n<p>The evening&#8217;s biggest prize is only one of eight nominations Drake has in his pocket.<\/p>\n<p>The Toronto-raised hip-hop star&#8217;s \u201cViews\u201d is also in the running for best rap album, while \u201cHotline Bling\u201d is nominated for best rap or sung performance.<\/p>\n<p>Drake is also being considered for his vocal contributions to Rihanna&#8217;s smash hit \u201cWork,\u201d which is up for both record of the year and best duo or group performance.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s not expected to attend this year&#8217;s ceremony due to schedule conflicts with his European tour.<\/p>\n<p>Drake only counts a single Grammy to his name for the 2011 rap album \u201cTake Care.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bieber is another Canadian hoping to grab a few statues at this year&#8217;s show.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s nominated for his single \u201cLove Yourself\u201d in the best song and best pop solo performance categories.<\/p>\n<p>His album \u201cPurpose\u201d is also up for best pop vocal album.<\/p>\n<p>Bieber also only has one Grammy, which he won last year for contributing vocals to \u201cWhere Are U Now,\u201d a side project of Skrillex and Diplo.<\/p>\n<p>Several other Canadians are hoping to take home Grammy hardware in a pre-telecast ceremony that got underway at 3:30 p.m. ET on Grammy.com\/live.<\/p>\n<p>Early winners included Andre Allen Anjos, a Portuguese producer who works under the pseudonym RAC.
