PAUL, Minn. \u2013James Beard Award-winning columnist Francis Lam is succeeding Lynne Rossetto Kasper as the host of public radio&#8217;s \u201cThe Splendid Table.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rossetto Kasper is retiring at the end of 2017 after 21 seasons of the culinary and lifestyle program. Lam hosts his first show March 10.<\/p>\n<p>St. Paul, Minnesota-based American Public Media, which produces and distributes \u201cThe Splendid Table,\u201d said Tuesday that Rossetto Kasper will still contribute to the show that she created with producer Sally Swift.<\/p>\n<p>Rossetto Kasper calls Lam \u201ca gifted cook and storyteller\u201d with \u201ca delicious sense of humour about food and himself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lam is the former Eat columnist for The New York Times Magazine and has been a judge on Bravo&#8217;s \u201cTop Chef Masters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Splendid Table\u201d is distributed to more than 400 public radio stations nationwide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ST.
