MANILA\u2014Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Ronald \u201cBato\u201d Dela Rosa on Tuesday urged all policemen to undergo \u201cinternal soul-searching\u201d.<\/p>\n

This was the message of Dela Rosa when he attended a mass, which was officiated by Bishop Leopoldo Tumulak, in Camp Crame, Quezon City.<\/p>\n

The PNP chief said it is important for all of them to have \u201cclean conscience\u201d first before starting the \u201cinternal cleansing\u201d in their ranks.<\/p>\n

\u201dWe are embarking on an internal cleansing sa aming hanay sa PNP. So I must acknowledge that I myself need internal cleansing so before ako mag-clean sa buong organization dapat na-cleanse ko muna ang sarili ko,\u201d Dela Rosa said.<\/p>\n

\u201dSoul searching. What to do and what I failed to do, bakit nagkaganito ang aming organization. Baka buong kapulisan magkakaroon ng retreat. Titingnan natin para malinis,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Dela Rosa admitted that because policemen are too busy in their work they might have forgotten to ask for guidance from God.<\/p>\n

He said nobody can address the challenges the PNP is now facing and the problems of each individual but only God in heaven.<\/p>\n

Likewise, Dela Rosa said, he would have all policemen to undergo \u201cspiritual retreat\u201d if necessary.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
