But there\u2019s no truth to it),\u201d the 54-year-old actor-director said in an interview at a press launch.<\/p>\n<p>Montano, who actively campaigned for Duterte in the 2016 presidential elections, asserted that he never expected anything in return for his support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Ang sa akin lang naman ay suporta dahil naniwala ako sa kanya<\/em>\u2026 <em>Hanggang ngayon naman naniniwala pa rin ako sa kanya ke may posisyon na ialok o wala<\/em>,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>(I supported him because I believed in him\u2026 Until now, I still believe in him even with or without a position offered.)<\/p>\n<p>Montano, however, admitted that he would not think twice on accepting a government position if any was indeed offered to him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Kung ano man ang dumating, kung ano ang ibibigay sa akin ng Presidente<\/em>, <em>tatanggapin ko nang maligaya<\/em>. It would be an honor and joy to me <em>kung meron man<\/em>. <em>Kung wala<\/em>, <em>okay lang din<\/em>\u2026 I\u2019m willing to help the President,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>(Whatever comes, whatever will be offered to me by the President, I will gladly accept it. It would be an honor and joy to me if there was indeed a government post for me.
