{"id":80706,"date":"2016-09-04T23:08:06","date_gmt":"2016-09-05T03:08:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=80706"},"modified":"2016-09-04T23:08:06","modified_gmt":"2016-09-05T03:08:06","slug":"two-people-dead-helicopter-crash-northern-new-brunswick","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2016\/09\/04\/two-people-dead-helicopter-crash-northern-new-brunswick\/","title":{"rendered":"Two people dead in helicopter crash in northern New Brunswick"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CAMPBELLTON, N.B.\u2014Two people died in a helicopter crash in northern New Brunswick Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>RCMP said three people were aboard the helicopter Sunday afternoon when it got tangled in some powerlines in the community of Flatlands, west of Campbellton along the Restigouche River.<\/p>\n<p>Police said the helicopter ran into an embankment and ended up in the water, but it wasn&#8217;t immediately clear if it went into the river or another body of water.<\/p>\n<p>Police said the third person was injured, but it&#8217;s not known how severely.<\/p>\n<p>There are no immediate details on the helicopter or who owned it.<\/p>\n<p>The crash resulted in electricity being cut to some 14,000 customers in the area, but New Brunswick Power said power was restored by early Sunday evening.<\/p>\n<p>The Transportation Safety Board has been called in to investigate the cause of the crash.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CAMPBELLTON, N.B.\u2014Two people died in a helicopter crash in northern New Brunswick Sunday.
