MANILA \u2013 American singer Dia Frampton, who became more popular when she finished runner-up in the first season of the American edition of \u201cThe Voice\u201d is in the Philippines to promote her upcoming album, which according to her, described her not-so-good experiences.<\/p>\n

Just recently, she got to talk with Boy Abunda on \u201cBandila,\u201d where she narrated how she writes songs and deals with life\u2019s experiences.<\/p>\n

On writing songs, she said, “It’s just about being honest. Lots of people out there write about being strong and independent, and I’m kind of the opposite.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that it is crucial to trust one\u2019s instincts, as she believes that a person\u2019s gut feel is right, most of the time.<\/p>\n

Memorable experience on \u201cThe Voice\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

If there was a single performance on \u201cThe Voice\u201d that she would never forget, this would be singing alongside Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, “That was one of the performances where I really let myself go, because I feel like I was singing with a friend.”<\/p>\n

Her songs<\/b><\/p>\n

Being a songwriter allows Frampton to express herself more on stage. In one of the episodes of the \u201cThe Voice,\u201d she sang one of the songs she co-wrote, \u201cInventing Shadows,\u201d which tells a story of a person who chose to look at the negative side of things despite of the many good things waiting for her.<\/p>\n

“I know a lot of people like that. I was one of them, you are surrounded with amazing things yet you’re still wanting more, you’re still ungrateful. That’s a terrible way to live,” she said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
