The film will make its world premiere in Toronto.<\/p>\n<p>Also bound for the fest with big buzz is Stone\u2019s \u201cSnowden,\u201d a dramatization of Edward Snowden\u2019s decision to leak classified security documents to the media. Stars include Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley and Melissa Leo.<\/p>\n<p>Audiences will get to see London, Ont., native Ryan Gosling sing in the musical romance \u201cLa La Land.\u201d \u201cWhiplash\u201d writer-director Damien Chazelle helms the cast that also features Emma Stone and J. K. Simmons.<\/p>\n<p>The Toronto International Film Festival runs Sept. 8-18.<\/p>\n<p>The closing film will be the Vancouver-shot coming-of-age comedy \u201cThe Edge of Seventeen,\u201d starring Hailee Steinfeld, Woody Harrelson and Kyra Sedgwick.<\/p>\n<p>Other highlights announced Tuesday:<\/p>\n<p>* Ewan McGregor makes his directorial debut on \u201cAmerican Pastoral,\u201d He also stars, alongside Dakota Fanning and Jennifer Connelly, in the adaptation of Philip Roth&#8217;s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel.<\/p>\n<p>* The biographical drama \u201cBarry\u201d looks at U.S. President Barack Obama\u2019s years as a college student in New York City.<\/p>\n<p>* Rob Reiner directs \u201cLBJ,\u201d starring Harrelson as president Lyndon B.
