I want a president that brings out the best in every Filipino, not the worst in every Filipino.”

Independent vice presidential bet and Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero had these words to say about his running mate, presidential candidate and Senator Grace Poe, as he made a final pitch to voters in the “Miting de Avance” of Partido Galing at Puso held at Plaza Miranda in Quiapo, Manila on Saturday night.

He told the country’s voters to choose the president that they want and not to leave the decision to the elite who think that they can influence the outcome of the May 9 general elections.

At the same time, he asked the electorate to take a look again at the agenda of the “Gobyernong may Puso,” which focus is to fight poverty in order to address crime and violence in the country.

He said the Poe presidency will declare poverty as “public enemy No. 1” and poverty eradication a top priority.

As the 90-day election campaign came to a close, Escudero said he could never be more proud of their supporters and the entire Partido Galing at Puso team for carrying out a decent, hate-free and issue-based political campaign, despite a well-orchestrated game plan to attack Poe.

“Wala kaming dapat ikahiya sa aming ginawang pag-iikot sa buong Pilipinas.
