DAET, Camarines Norte\u2014Vice presidential candidate-Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said he is willing execute a waiver on the secrecy of his bank account.<\/p>\n

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of his Unity Caravan in Daet, Camarines Norte, the lawmaker admitted that he has only one bank account, which is the one opened for his salaries as a senator.<\/p>\n

“I am willing to sign a waiver but I have only one bank account and that is where I get my salaries as a government official so the government has a record of my bank account,\u201d Marcos said.<\/p>\n

He was elected to the Senate position in May 2010, where he ranked 7th overall.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, he refused to comment on the ongoing controversy involving the alleged bank accounts of presidential aspirant and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, noting that the facts have not been established yet.<\/p>\n

“Hindi pa maliwanag. We do not have the facts yet. We have allegations, we have explanations pero wala pang facts so mahirap mag-comment,\u201d the senator added.<\/p>\n

Marcos noted that it is not proper for him to tell the mayor what to do.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s not for me to say, that is for the mayor to decide on how he would like to handle that particular issue,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
