MANILA \u2013 Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) seized an estimated PHP45 million worth of methamphetamine hydrocloride also known as \u2018shabu\u2019 from a Chinese national during an anti-drug operation in Manila on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

CIDG Chief Police Director Victor Deona identified the suspect as Norman Hung Wang, 36, who was arrested by the joint operatives of NCRPO, MPD and CIDG while in the act of receiving marked money from a poseur buyer in exchange for a kilo of suspected shabu inside his driven car on Tuesday night at the parking lot in front of Harrison Plaza, Adriatico St., Brgy 720, Zone 78, Malate, Manila.<\/p>\n

Confiscated from Wang were nine kilograms of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP45 million, a brown paper bag and a travelling bag containing the contraband, PHP800,000 bogus money which includes the marked money, a violet paper bag used to contain the bogus money, assorted identification cards, and a silver Toyota Altis.<\/p>\n
