MANILA\u2014PDP-LABAN standard bearer and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte was the clear winner in the third leg of the Pilipinas Debates held at the Phinma University of Pangasinan, Dagupan City Sunday.<\/p>\n

This was disclosed by political analysts who monitored the presidential debate sanctioned by the Commission on Elections.<\/p>\n

Speaking before ABS-CBN\u2019s \u201cHuling Harapan,\u201d Manila Bulletin\u2019s Leandro Coronel stressed that of all the candidates who participated in the debate, Duterte proved to be the clear winner.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuterte was not mortally wounded contrary to what we expected because of the issues (that have been thrown against him). The clear winner (in the debate) was Duterte,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in Rappler\u2019s blow-by-blow coverage of the debate, De La Salle University assistant professor Richard Heydarian pointed out how the PDP-LABAN standard bearer was able to show his political will in trying to address Mindanao\u2019s enduring problem on terrorism.<\/p>\n
