I should have stuck with Carpool Karaoke,\u201d Nenshi said in the release Saturday afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white;text-align: start\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt;color: black\">\u201cI was not aware that this driver was live broadcasting our discussion on the Internet, and he certainly didn&#8217;t have my consent to do so.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white;text-align: start\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt;color: black\">Still, Nenshi said a person should be the same person in private as in public.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white;text-align: start\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt;color: black\">Uber temporarily suspended operations in Edmonton and Calgary earlier this year after the Alberta government announced it would not make insurance available to drivers until the summer. He said he&#8217;s always up front about who he is, and described his conversation with the driver in Boston as \u201cfree-flowing.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white;text-align: start\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt;color: black\">\u201cI told him the story, repeating what I have said many times publicly: that Calgary&#8217;s rideshare regulations are not unreasonable, and that Uber, in particular, has been very difficult to deal with.
