MANILA \u2013 With speculations that he is a homosexual, Kapamilya actor-host Luis Manzano simply laughs it off but stresses that \u201cthere is nothing wrong with being gay.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although not part of the LGBT community, Manzano is still \u201cangry when people use the word as a way to hurt me.\u201d He says: \u201cBakla<\/em> (gay) is not a derogatory term. What\u2019s foul is that it is given a wrong connotation and is used to attack other people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Already rumored for his sexual preference, the 34-year-old Kapamilya star\u2019s former girlfriend actress Angel Locsin is also allegedly said to be a lesbian. Aware of this, he has this to say: \u201cIt\u2019s part of the industry\u2026 We\u2019re so used to name-calling. In this industry, I\u2019ve proven that the saying \u2018where there\u2019s smoke, there\u2019s fire\u2019 is not true at all\u201d<\/p>\n

Manzano also thanks his ex-girlfriend for defending him and his sexuality. The former celebrity couple still maintains a good working relationship despite their split a couple of months back.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been through a lot. As a couple and as individuals. We\u2019ve both become more mature. Yes, we felt uncomfortable for a while, but not anymore. At this point, we\u2019re friends. I don\u2019t want to add color\u2026 Let\u2019s just leave it at that,\u201d he says at the press conference of his game show \u201cFamily Feud\u201d as reported by the Inquirer.net.<\/p>\n
