Justin Bieber and then quitting social media.<\/p>\n<p>The DJ from Niagara Falls, Ont., whose real name is Joel Zimmerman, writes on his Tumblr account that he\u2019s been \u201cdealing with some depression issues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He adds he considers himself \u201cfar from emotionally stable\u201d and is sorry for abruptly leaving social media and leaving his fans and supporters out of the loop.<\/p>\n<p>In a video posted on YouTube earlier this month, the four-time Juno Award winner is seen slamming Bieber for taking credit for the work of producers and writers on his new album \u201cPurpose.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Smoking a cigarette and drinking a can of pop, he also criticizes producers for letting Bieber take such credit.<\/p>\n<p>Then a few days ago, Zimmerman reportedly deleted his Twitter and Facebook accounts, among others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeactivating social media for a minute has nothing at all to do with popstars or dubstep tryhards,\u201d he writes on Tumblr, adding \u201cit was a kneejerk reaction to something\u201d he saw coming a long time ago.<\/p>\n<p>Zimmerman adds he plans to slow things down during the holidays and then return to the studio in the
