MANILA \u2013 Actor Albert Martinez admitted that he has yet to move on from the passing of his wife, Liezl, especially as Christmas nears without her.<\/p>\n

It can be recalled that Liezl succumbed to her battle with breast cancer earlier this year. Albert will then be having his first Christmas as a widower and sees it to be the \u2018saddest one yet.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cLiezl makes it a point na kapag Christmas<\/em>, magkakasama kami<\/em>\u2026 Siya talaga ang punong<\/em>–abala sa regalo to make sure<\/em>, this and that. Right now, ako na \u2018yun. Well, it\u2019s going to be hard but we\u2019ll manage,\u201d he told reporters in a press conference.<\/p>\n

(Liezl makes it a point that every Christmas, we\u2019re all together\u2026 She\u2019s really the one who organizes the gifts to make sure, this and that. Right now, it\u2019s me. Well, it\u2019s going to be hard but we\u2019ll manage.)<\/p>\n

The \u201cAll of Me\u201d actor initially planned to spend the holidays abroad with the family but because of busy schedules, they then decided to travel within the country instead.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, wala kaming time to go out of the country kasi limited<\/em> \u2018yung break namin<\/em>. We<\/em>\u2019ll just go out of town somewhere na kaming pamilya magkakasama<\/em>,\u201d he said in an interview.<\/p>\n

(Unfortunately, we don\u2019t have time to go out of the country because our breaks are limited. We\u2019ll just go out of town somewhere with the family together.)<\/p>\n

Bittersweet 2015 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Albert looked back at 2015 as a year of both ups and downs as he dealt with the death of his wife and made a successful comeback in the showbiz industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, the worst thing that happened in my life happened in 2015. Losing a wife is no joke and hanggang ngayon<\/em>, dala<\/em>–dala ko<\/em> \u2018yun<\/em>. Hindi matatanggal<\/em> \u2018yun<\/em>\u2026 On the positive side naman<\/em>, I was given the opportunity na na<\/em>–revive ko<\/em> \u2018yung position ko sa industry<\/em>,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a mix. Bittersweet,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Liezl\u2019s mother, veteran actress Amalia Fuentes, recently suffered an ischemic stroke. Albert has yet to see how his mother-in-law has been doing.<\/p>\n

\u201cAyaw ko nang mag<\/em>–add ng pressure to anyone<\/em>… If I\u2019m welcome there, ready na lahat<\/em>, I\u2019ll be there. I\u2019ll be more than happy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
