MANILA \u2013 President Benigno Aquino III continues to enjoy a \u201cgood\u201d public satisfaction rating based on the fourth quarter 2015 Social Weather Station (SWS) survey.<\/p>\n

Results of the survey showed a +32 rating for the President for the quarter, a tad lower than the previous quarter\u2019s +41 rating but is still within the +30 to +49 or \u201cgood\u201d rating of the survey.<\/p>\n

In terms of socioeconomic class, Pres. Aquino got the highest rating from those belonging to Class E at +45 followed by those from Class ABC at +44 and Class D, +28.<\/p>\n

Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Sec. Herminio Coloma attributed the high satisfaction rating from the Class E respondents to the implementation of the government\u2019s conditional cash transfer (CCT) program.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe note further that socioeconomic Class E constitutes the main benefactors of the government\u2019s poverty alleviation and social development programs such as the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

4Ps is now on its eight year of implementation and covers about 4.4 million household, whose members include 10.1 million youth, eight million of whom are students and two million are toddlers.<\/p>\n

It is being implemented through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), which has disbursed a total of PHP39 billion worth of cash grant since the start of 2015.<\/p>\n
