Rodolfo Albano III appealed to his constituents to support the BBL, saying that it can be an instrument for future peace process and peace building efforts by other countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Albano said that BBL will be the legacy of the Aquino administration, and that everyone should give a chance on peace measure for it will uphold the rights of Moros and Lumads in Mindanao, and will make a closure on decades-old conflicts in the south.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He also said that the Congress spent over a year considering the proposed law of making an autonomous Bangsamoro region in Muslim Mindanao, and they [Congress] will be proud of approving the peace pact.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Cagayan de Oro City Rep. Rufus Rodriguez, principal sponsor of BBL, hopes that the Congress could pass it in the remaining three session days of the Congress this week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cLast minute approval of legislative proposals is not new in the Congress, and we can also do this with the BBL. We have to approve it for the sake of peace,\u201d said Rodriguez.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The House could deal with proposed amendments if Rodriguez\u2019s colleagues could finish their interpretations today or tomorrow.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Senate Minority Leader Juan Ponce Enrile was asking for one more week to ask questions about the BBL or the Basic Law for Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (BLBAR).<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA &#8211; Only three sessions days left for the passage of the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL).
