So we\u2019ll see what happens\u2026 I\u2019ve been doing my homework. I\u2019m pretty confident that I\u2019m getting there as I\u2019m getting closer and closer to the competition. I can feel it already,\u201d she said in earlier interviews.<\/p>\n<p>Wurtzbach, along with the other 78 candidates, has been touring, filming, and rehearsing for the nearing pageant night to be held on December 20 (December 21, Philippine time) in Las Vegas, USA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll the three years that I\u2019ve tried, people are laughing at me and saying <em>na trying hard daw ako<\/em> (that I\u2019m trying too hard). So my answer is yeah\u2026 I tried very hard because this is what I want,\u201d she further said.<\/p>\n<p>Posing for the camera at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, the Filipina beauty queen dazzled in the evening gown, swimwear, and glamour photography, among others. Her photos were captured by renowned photographers Matt Petit, Darren Decker and Fadil Berisha.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI absolutely love, love, love my official glamshot photo,\u201d she said in her Instagram account.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCan\u2019t believe it\u2019s been over a week already since I arrived! Everything\u2019s been happening so fast and everyday is packed with activities,\u201d she said in another post.<\/p>\n<p>The other activities leading to the live show are the talent show in December 13, the preview and contestant interviews on December 14, and the preliminary and national consume shows on December 16.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Among the favorites <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With her journey as a beauty queen starting way back in 2013, Wurtzbach hoped to become the third Filipina to be crowned as Miss Universe, following Margarita Moran in 1973 and Gloria Diaz in 1969.<\/p>\n<p>The 26-year-old beauty queen has also been named among pageant enthusiasts\u2019 favorites and has been projected to be among the Top 10, along with Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez, Miss India Urvashi Rautela, Miss Mexico Wendy Esparza and Miss USA Olivia Jordan.<\/p>\n<p>Adding more to the pressure, the Philippines\u2019 Angelia Ong was crowned as the Miss Earth 2015 and Ann Colis was named as Miss Globe
