MANILA \u2013 Kapamilya actress Christine Reyes and her non-showbiz fianc\u00e9, Ali Khatibi, are getting married in Balesin Island on January 27 \u2013 the same date they first realized their admiration for each other back in 2013.<\/p>\n

\u201cNalaman namin na we like each other nung time na<\/em> \u2018yun<\/em>. Kaya gusto sana namin<\/em> \u2018yung Balesin wedding namin sa January 27<\/em>\u2026 Dapat dun<\/em> \u2018yung <\/em>[prenuptial pictorial<\/em>] namin<\/em>. Bayad na <\/em>\u2018yun<\/em> so sabi namin dalhin na lang namin doon sina Pastor<\/em> tapos doon na magpakasal<\/em>.,\u201d Christine told Kris Aquino during her guesting in Kris TV on Tuesday, December 8.<\/p>\n

(We discovered that we liked each other that time. That\u2019s why we want our Balesin wedding to be on January 27\u2026. Our prenuptial pictorial was set there. It\u2019s already paid so we thought of bringing our Pastor there and get married there as well.)<\/p>\n

The couple\u2019s first option, however, was to have a backyard wedding in their house. But with the construction needing more time, they opted to tie the knot in Balesin.<\/p>\n

\u201cKaysa naman somewhere here na<\/em> very normal<\/em>\u2026 Gusto naman talaga niya<\/em> [Ali<\/em>], beach wedding\u2026 Na<\/em>–stress ako sa planning kasabay<\/em> \u2018yung teleserye<\/em>, kasabay<\/em> \u2018yung construction ng bahay<\/em>. Kapag nagwe<\/em>–wedding plan pala<\/em>, ang daming kailangang puntahan<\/em>, ang daming kailangan mag<\/em>–decide kami togethe<\/em>r,\u201d the 26-year-old actress said, admitting that they originally planned to wed last December 3 but their conflicting schedules made them postpone the wedding.<\/p>\n

(Instead of [getting married] somewhere here that\u2019s very normal\u2026 He really wanted a beach wedding\u2026. I got stressed with the planning along with the teleserye, along with the construction of the house. [I realized that] when you plan for a wedding, you have to decide together on a lot of things.)<\/p>\n

\u201cGusto ko kasama ko siya palagi<\/em>\u2026 E<\/em>, may times na ang dami niyang ginagawa<\/em>. Ang dami niyang ka<\/em>–meeting<\/em>. One time<\/em>, nag<\/em>–ayos ako ng schedule<\/em>, fixed na<\/em>, [pero<\/em>] may isinisingit siya na kliyente<\/em>. So<\/em>, nag<\/em>–away kami<\/em>,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

(I want him to be with me always [when making decisions]\u2026 But there are times when he\u2019s doing a lot of things. He meets with a lot of people. One time, I arranged a schedule, it was already fixed, but he still met with a client. So, we fought.)<\/p>\n

Finally finishing all the preparations, the couple only wanted a simple ceremony attended by their respective families and a few close friends.<\/p>\n
