{"id":65626,"date":"2015-11-25T06:05:14","date_gmt":"2015-11-25T12:05:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=65626"},"modified":"2015-11-25T06:05:35","modified_gmt":"2015-11-25T12:05:35","slug":"24-teams-ftfps-regular-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2015\/11\/25\/24-teams-ftfps-regular-season\/","title":{"rendered":"24 teams on FTFP&#8217;s regular season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">MANILA, PHILIPPINES &#8211; A banner field of 24 teams comprise the regular season of the Federation of Touch Football Pilipinas (FTFP) which kicked off more than a week ago in two separate venues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The Ladies division attracted the most number of teams with 17 divided into two groups, while seven squads are entered in the men\u2019s side of the \u2018Puma Touch League.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">International schools, local colleges, and several club teams make up this year\u2019s roster, including first timers Makati Mavericks and Isla Rugby FC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">FTFP president Clair Barberis welcomed the entry of Puma as the federation\u2019s new partner in its various endeavors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cIt\u2019s a big development on our part,\u201d said Barberis in the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum on Tuesday at Shakey\u2019s Malate, referring to the partnership the FTFP forged with one of the world\u2019s top sports apparel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cIt (Puma) committed to support even the national team in future tournaments particularly in the Asian Club Championships in 2016.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Teams from the three divisions will play a single round robin format, culminating in the top four advancing to the playoffs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Games are being played every Saturday and Sunday with the ladies finals set on January 16 and the men\u2019s side set the following day.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA, PHILIPPINES &#8211; A banner field of 24 teams comprise the regular season of the Federation of Touch Football Pilipinas &hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":44,"featured_media":65578,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[44],"tags":[35],"class_list":["post-65626","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-sports","tag-original","mauthors-mavelle-p-durian","mauthors-philippine-canadian-inquirer"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/65626","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/44"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=65626"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/65626\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/65578"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=65626"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=65626"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=65626"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
