{"id":65368,"date":"2015-11-22T23:53:47","date_gmt":"2015-11-23T05:53:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=65368"},"modified":"2015-11-23T04:46:21","modified_gmt":"2015-11-23T10:46:21","slug":"mmda-to-clear-17-mabuhay-lanes-until-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2015\/11\/22\/mmda-to-clear-17-mabuhay-lanes-until-june\/","title":{"rendered":"MMDA to clear 17 Mabuhay Lanes until June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">MANILA, PHILIPPINES &#8211; The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) would go on clearing the 17 Mabuhay Lanes until June next year to <a href=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2015\/09\/08\/edsa-traffic-improves-but-not-yet-perfect\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>decongest EDSA<\/strong>,<\/a> and will provide alternative routes for motorists even after the holiday season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cOur team will continue to tow vehicles and fine its drivers P200 if they park along the streets from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.,\u201d said MMDA Chairman Emerson Carlos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">MMDA set a regulation that Mabuhay Lanes should be free from any form of obstruction from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. However, motorists can park their vehicles along the designated alternative routes beyond these hours.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The MMDA added that access roads in the metropolis can be used as Mabuhay Lanes aside from the existing routes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">MMDA Chairman Carlos said the local government units (LGUs) in Manila can also suggest roads that can be utilized as Mabuhay Lanes.
