The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 has improved its ranking from being 1st in the &#8220;World\u2019s Worst Airport&#8221; list from 2011 to 2013 to only 8th in the &#8220;Worst Airports in Asia&#8221; list this year.<\/p>\n<p>Both surveys, which were conducted by nine-year-old interactive website \u201cThe Guide to Sleeping in Airports\u201d, were released last Oct 17.<\/p>\n<p>The website gave credit to rehabilitation efforts which have \u201chelped decongest and clean up Terminal 1\u201d, and the introduction of the Wings Transit Lounge in Terminal 3 which have \u201chelped make things more comfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, it did not ignore earlier reports this year on Terminal 1\u2019s leaking ceilings and Terminal 2\u2019s collapsing floors which it noted needs \u201croom for improvement\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>It also pointed out how passengers remain annoyed by the poor customer service, the long queues, the sub-par food selection, the lack of restrooms and the crowded seating areas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is definitely a long way to go but we&#8217;re thrilled to see improvements come along bit by bit,\u201d the website said.<\/p>\n<p>The top 10 Worst Airports in Asia 2015 are:<br \/>\n(1) Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal<br \/>\n(2) Tashkent International Airport, Uzbekistan<br \/>\n(3) Kabal Hamid Karzai International Airport, Afghanistan<br \/>\n(4) Ho Chi Minh City Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Vietnam<br \/>\n(5) Islamabad Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Pakistan<br \/>\n(6) Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, China<br \/>\n(7) Chennai (Madras) International Airport, India<br \/>\n(8) Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Philippines<br \/>\n(9) Dhaka Shahjalal International Airport, Bangladesh<br \/>\n(10) Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport, Sri Lanka<\/p>\n<p>The top 10 Worst Airports in the World 2015 are:<br \/>\n(1) Port Harcourt International Airport, Nigeria<br \/>\n(2) Jeddah King Abdulaazziz International Airport, Saudi Arabia<br \/>\n(3) Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal<br \/>\n(4) Tashkent International Airport, Uzbekistan<br \/>\n(5) Caracas Simon Bolivar International Airport, Venezuela<br \/>\n(6) Port au Prince Toussaint Louverture International Airport, Haiti<br \/>\n(7) Kabul Hamid Karzai International Airport, Afghanistan<br \/>\n(8) Ho Chi Minh City Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Vietnam<br \/>\n(9) Islambad Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Pakistan<br \/>\n(10) Paris Beauvais-Tille International Airport, Paris, France<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA &#8212;
