Not directly asking for the Filipino people\u2019s votes, the tandem hoped that the public would choose wisely on whom among the candidates they would support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Kami po ni Leni ay nagtitiwala na ang ating mga kababayan ay pipili ng tama sa darating na halalan<\/em>\u2026 <em>Ang amin pong ipinaglalaban ay hindi tungkol sa isang tao<\/em>, <em>isang tandem<\/em>, <em>o isang partido<\/em>. <em>Tungkol po ito sa lahat ng pangarap ng pamilyang Pilipino<\/em> \u2013 <em>pangarap na mabuhay ng may dangal<\/em>,\u201d he said after filing his COC.<\/p>\n<p>(Leni and I trust that our countrymen will choose correctly in the coming elections\u2026 What we are fighting for is not a particular person, a tandem or a party. This is about all the dreams of the Filipino families \u2013 dreams to live with dignity.)<\/p>\n<p>Roxas also thanked their supporters and vowed to continue the Aquino administration\u2019s \u201c<em>Daang Matuwid<\/em>\u201d (Straight Path) type of governance once elected.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Nagpapasalamat po kami sa ating mga kababayan sa pagkakataon na humarap sa inyo at ialay ang aming sarili bilang kinatawan ng<\/em> \u2018<em>Daang Matuwid<\/em>\u2019,\u201d he added, also thanking other aspirants for trusting the democratic process.<\/p>\n<p>(We thank all our countrymen for the opportunity to face you and offer ourselves as representatives of the \u201cStraight Path.\u201d)<\/p>\n<p>Roxas then disclosed that he and Robredo have fully committed themselves to serve the Filipino people, saying they were \u2018all-in\u2019 and would \u2018give their all.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>President Benigno \u201cNoynoy\u201d Aquino III earlier endorsed Roxas as his preferred successor.
