You grow so much through adversity and the Olympic qualifier presents adversity,\u2019\u2019 in his statement with The Standard.<\/p>\n<p>In previous statements, SBP President Manny Pangilinan and SBP executive Ricky Vargas are still unsure about the participation of Gilas Pilipinas in the qualifying tournament that would overlap the upcoming season of the Philippine Basketball Association, and said it is better to prepare for the upcoming 2017 FIBA Asia Championship.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s just my hope and prayer that we can join.
