The two, however, were reportedly not interested in seeking higher office in the coming national elections.<\/p>\n<p>Taking into account Zubiri and Senator Aquilino \u201cKoko\u201d Pimentel\u2019s past rift, Duterte would first get the latter\u2019s approval to include the former senator in their political party Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan\u2019s (PDP-Laban) list of senatorial candidates.<\/p>\n<p>Duterte\u2019s camp will present a \u2018lean\u2019 Senate slate because of the PDP-Laban\u2019s financial limitations as they had \u2018no money to give to those who will be running for the Senate.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey (senatorial candidates) will have to finance their own campaigns.
