{"id":61923,"date":"2015-09-23T21:27:38","date_gmt":"2015-09-23T13:27:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=61923"},"modified":"2015-09-23T21:27:38","modified_gmt":"2015-09-23T13:27:38","slug":"skycable-denies-signal-loss-confined-to-gma-only","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2015\/09\/23\/skycable-denies-signal-loss-confined-to-gma-only\/","title":{"rendered":"SkyCable denies signal loss confined to GMA only"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_61924\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-61924\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/1392070_609229442451552_462230591_n.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-61924\" src=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/1392070_609229442451552_462230591_n.jpg\" alt=\"SkyCable Corp.'s logo\" width=\"800\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/1392070_609229442451552_462230591_n.jpg 800w, https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/1392070_609229442451552_462230591_n-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/1392070_609229442451552_462230591_n-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-61924\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">SkyCable Corp.&#8217;s logo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA \u2013 Receiving another complaint over signal disruptions before and during Eat Bulaga\u2019s \u2018kalyeserye\u2019 segment, SkyCable Corp. clarified that they did not encounter any \u2018network problem\u2019 that could have caused signal loss over GMA network in the past few days.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn reference to GMA Network\u2019s new complaint on latest reports of signal disruption during the \u2018kalyeserye\u2019 segment of Eat Bulaga, SkyCable Corporation reiterates that it did not experience any network problem that could have resulted in the loss of GMA-7\u2019s signal only, similar to earlier reports,\u201d SkyCable said in an official statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf there were incidents of signal loss affecting certain portions of the network in the areas and period referred to, these affected other channels as well, not just GMA 7,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n<p>GMA Network, for its part, earlier claimed receiving reports from inconvenienced SkyCable subscribers who experienced signal loss and degradations on Channel 12 (GMA) this month.<\/p>\n<p>The television network asserted that there was \u2018basis to believe that the signal disruptions were effected in order to reduce the viewership level of GMA\/Eat Bulaga, which has enamored millions of viewers with its phenomenal AlDub\/kalyeserye segment resulting in the program\u2019s very high ratings.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>GMA then filed a complaint against SkyCable before the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) for the cable service provider\u2019s \u2018irresponsible acts.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is significant that the signal loss and degradations are confined to SkyCable Channel 12 (GMA-7) only to the exclusion of other must-carry channels,\u201d the Kapuso network said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>It can be noted that this has not been the first time GMA complained over signal disruptions during the airing of Eat Bulaga.
