MANILA \u2013 With ABS-CBN\u2019s noontime show It\u2019s Showtime having better ratings lately, Vice Ganda shared how the network\u2019s management and the show\u2019s host and crew felt happier.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn fairness\u2026 Sabi nga ng [ABS-CBN] management<\/em>, masaya na sila<\/em>. Kasi they were only praying for two points [increase]<\/em>, but God [gave] us six points<\/em>, sabi nila<\/em>,\u201d Vice Ganda said in a Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) report.<\/p>\n

(In fairness\u2026 The ABS-CBN management said that they were already happy. Because they were only praying for two points increase, but God gave us six points, they said.)<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, nung ibigay yun sa amin<\/em>, na-boost ang morale naming lahat <\/em>(So, when that was given to us, our morale was boosted),\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The comedienne-host also admitted that It\u2019s Showtime\u2019s previous ratings indeed worried them which led them to think of better ways to be more appealling to the audience.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s competition, pero (but) it\u2019s nothing personal. You have to keep up with what the competition dictates in the audience,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Pero<\/em>] siyempre<\/em>, alangan naman na iniwan ka nang milya-milya<\/em>, kahit sino naman<\/em>, kahit atleta ka<\/em>, kung nagtatakbuhan na at nakita mong\u00a0 umaalagwa na siya<\/em>, gagawa ka ng paraan kung paano ka-catch up<\/em>, di ba<\/em>?,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

(But of course, when you\u2019re miles behind, whoever it may be, even if you\u2019re an athlete, when they\u2019re running and you see one going further ahead, you will think of a way how to catch up, right?)<\/p>\n

It can be noted that the ratings of GMA\u2019s noontime show Eat Bulaga soared when their kalyeserye segment\u2019s on-screen loveteam, \u2018AlDub,\u2019 became popular.<\/p>\n

But with the new face of \u2018Pastillas Girl\u2019 seen in It\u2019s Showtime\u2019s \u2018Madam Bertud\u2019 segment, data from the Kantar Media\/TNS showed that the gap between the two shows became smaller.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
