In here, she will deliver a 12-minute speech, formally announcing her interest in running for president in the coming general elections and refuting issues hurled against her.<\/p>\n<p>The neophyte senator\u2019s declaration will be witnessed by invited government officials, family and friends.<\/p>\n<p>Should Poe indeed seek the country\u2019s highest post, she will be going against Vice President Jejomar \u201cJojo\u201d Binay and former Interior Secretary Manuel \u201cMar\u201d Roxas II who earlier announced their candidacies.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Francis \u201cChiz\u201d Escudero, her supposed running mate ,was expected to announce his vice-presidential on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, President Benigno \u201cNoynoy\u201d Aquino III seemed unaffected by reports that the senator would join the presidential race. He asserted that the ruling Liberal Party (LP) was now platform oriented.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy should we be worried of her announcing her plans? We really would like to hear what she says. Are we worried? No, we are not worried. I think the party stands on a particular platform.
