(Meralco) has invested P40 million to upgrade its System Control Center.<\/p>\n<p>According to Meralco vice president and head of networks Ronnie Aperocho, the upgrades will give the company complete visibility on its franchise area and metering point.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough the smart meters and total visibility at our System Control Center, even before the customer would call us, we already deployed our crew to fix the problem,\u201d said Aperocho.<\/p>\n<p>The said system was inaugurated last May 2015. It has 4 x 15 meter system control monitor that paves way for multiple display and real-time visibility. This will allow the company to<\/p>\n<p>The company will be able to swiftly determine the source of the problem in its franchise area through the new system platform, Meralco head of systems control Joey Alonzo said in the same event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause of this, we will know the nature of the problem whether it is transmission, generation or distribution,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Aperocho also said that this project is their way of providing good service to their customers.<\/p>\n<p>The System Control Center \u00a0was created to meet the growing customer base of Meralco which is part of the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) project.
