Vilma Santos recently denied allegations that she will run for Vice President as a running mate of Interior Secretary Mar Roxas in next year&#8217;s polls.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\u201cI haven\u2019t envisioned the position for myself so I don\u2019t think I\u2019d be effective as vice president,\u201d Santos said as quoted in a Philippine Daily Inquirer report.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\u201cNothing will change my mind. We\u2019re talking about the whole Philippines here\u2014that\u2019s not easy. Being a public servant entails a big sacrifice,&#8221; she said.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Santos, the first female governor of Batangas, said that she prefer a local position.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Though she is thankful that her supporters believe in her, Santos said that she is not ready \u00a0for \u00a0the sacrifices and the consequences of running for a higher post.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>&#8220;I\u2019m just surprised to read the newspaper headlines: \u2018Mar-Vi, unbeatable.\u2019 That\u2019s just publicity.
