We are paying tax! Salamat po, Ms. Kris. Sana our voice be heard,\u201d Wandy Lo, one of Kris\u2019 followers, said.<\/p>\n<p>(It\u2019s not right to open the boxes\u2026 to say that [they are only] preventing luxury items from being delivered without paying tax. We are paying tax! Thank you, Ms. Kris. I hope our voice will be heard.)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just hope alam ng Presidente (your brother) kung ano ang hinanaing ng netizens\u2026 Sana makarating talaga ang lahat. I know Mr. President could stop it from happening,\u201d Justine Nicole, another of Kris\u2019 followers, said.<\/p>\n<p>(I just hope the President knows the netizens\u2019 plight\u2026 I hope everything goes through. I know Mr. President could stop it from happening.)<\/p>\n<p>The Queen of All Media, for her part, have relayed the concerns of the OFWs to those in position. Although not disclosing whom she discussed the matter with, it was clear that one of those were her brother, President Benigno \u201cP-Noy\u201d Aquino III.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo all the OFWs and relatives or friends of our OFWs, I already forwarded your concerns which you very clearly stated on my thread in my previous post to those in a position to not only address them but hopefully study, clarify, and act on policies that have a direct impact on you, your sacrifices, and your love for family that motivates not just you, but all of us to work hard,\u201d she said in her Instagram account.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, P-Noy ordered for a halt on the BOC\u2019s new policy of random inspections on balikbayan boxes but maintained that these packages should still go through X-ray and K-9 examinations.<\/p>\n<p>Hearing the good news, OFWs immediately thanked Kris for voicing out their concerns.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMs. Kris, thank you po sa help niyo ni Mr. President regarding dun sa balikbayan boxes\u2026 Thank you po talaga,\u201d Carissa Laquian, one of Kris\u2019 followers, said.<\/p>\n<p>(Ms. Kris, thank you for you and Mr. President\u2019s help regarding the balikbayan boxes\u2026 Thank you very much.)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you very much, Ms. Kris! You are a good Samaritan. The employees in BOC who open the boxes will be punished and paid for what they are doing. Hopefully it will be implemented ASAP\u2026 Thanks again! You are loved by many,\u201d Nor-een Esparcia, another of Kris\u2019 followers, said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you so much, Ms. Kris Aquino. Your support for us OFWs really left a mark in our hearts.
