Juan Ponce Enrile (Facebook photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA \u2013 In a 16-page resolution, the Supreme Court granted a provisional liberty on bail to Senator Juan Ponce Enrile due to his poor health, old age and the need to seek proper medical attention.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis will not only aid in his adequate preparation of his defense but, more importantly, will guarantee his appearance in court for trial,\u201d the High Court\u2019s decision read.<\/p>\n<p>Enrile earlier petitioned to post bail in the Sandiganbayan but his request was denied.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Sandiganbayan\u2026 unwarrantedly disregarded the clear showing of the fragile health and advance age of Enrile.
