MANILA — Vice President Jejomar Binay on Monday delivered what he called the “true” State of the Nation Address (Tsona) and criticized President Aquino saying Filipinos became poor under his “daang matuwid.”<\/p>\n

Binay said the administration was “manhid at palpak” (insensitive and bungling) adding that more Filipinos are still suffering from poverty.<\/p>\n

The Vice President criticized Aquino’s campaign slogan, “Kung walang kurap, walang mahirap.”<\/p>\n

(If there’s no corruption, there will be no poor Filipinos.)<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter five years, many are still poor and many are still corrupt,\u201d Binay said.<\/p>\n

Binay resigned from the Cabinet in June following allegations of corruption and ill-gotten wealth raised against him and his family.<\/p>\n

Binay said that he was becoming a “punching bag” of the allies of the administration.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter five years, what the Filipino people reaped was an insensitive and bungling government,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Binay, who earlier announced that he will run for President in the 2016 elections, also criticized Interior Secretary Mar Roxas during his speech.<\/p>\n

He blamed Roxas for mishandling the devastation wrought by Supertyphoon “Yolanda.”<\/p>\n
