MANILA — Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. on Monday said that the Congress will pass the freedom of information (FOI) bill.<\/p>\n

He also enumerated other bills that he vowed to be passed before the 16th Congress ends.<\/p>\n

Among the bills specified by Belmonte in his speech at the opening of the third regular session are:<\/p>\n

– THE 2016 NATIONAL BUDGET<\/p>\n

– THE CREATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY<\/p>\n

– STRENGTHENING THE BUILD-OPERATE-TRANSFER LAW<\/p>\n

– THE MODERNIZATION OF PAG-ASA<\/p>\n

– THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT<\/p>\n

– THE TAX INCENTIVES MANAGEMENT AND TRANSPARENCY BILL<\/p>\n

– THE CUSTOMS MODERNIZATION AND TARIFF ACT<\/p>\n

– THE NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM<\/p>\n

–\u00a0THE PREPAID SIM CARD REGISTRATION<\/p>\n

–\u00a0THE BARANGAY OFFICIALS WELFARE AND INCENTIVES ACT<\/p>\n

–\u00a0THE PHILIPPINE IMMIGRATION ACT OF 2015<\/p>\n

–\u00a0THE LAW ADJUSTING THE AMOUNT INVOLVED, VALUE OF PROPERTY OR DAMAGE ON WHICH A PENALTY IS BASED AND THE FINES UNDER THE REVISED PENAL CODE<\/p>\n

–\u00a0THE HEALTHCARE SERVICES PRICE DISCLOSURE ACT<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0THE LAW THAT WILL ENSURE THAT EACH SCHOOL DIVISION HAS A SPED CENTER FOR OUR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS<\/p>\n

– LAND ADMINISTRATION REFORM<\/p>\n

– THE LAND USE POLICY BILL<\/p>\n

– THE DELINEATION OF FOREST BOUNDARIES<\/p>\n
