(Malaca\u00f1ang Photo Bureau)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA \u2013 President Benigno Aquino III on Friday led the inauguration of the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX) which can help the motorists save up to one hour of their travel time.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival, the President drove through the MCX tollbooth plaza to officially open the road by using a toll card to open the toll boom barrier.<\/p>\n<p>Formerly known as the Daang Hari-South Luzon Expressway Connector road, the MCX is a vital access road that links the rapidly growing Muntinlupa City and Cavite to Metro Manila and the rest of Southern Luzon.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_56976\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-56976\" style=\"width: 960px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/noy-aquino-SLEX-MCX-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-56976\" src=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/noy-aquino-SLEX-MCX-2.jpg\" alt=\"President Benigno S. (Malaca\u00f1ang Photo Bureau)\" width=\"960\" height=\"672\" srcset=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/noy-aquino-SLEX-MCX-2.jpg 960w, https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/noy-aquino-SLEX-MCX-2-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-56976\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">(Malaca\u00f1ang Photo Bureau)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The MCX is the first toll road project of the Ayala Corporation under the government\u2019s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) program.<\/p>\n<p>The road is 1.5-kilometer shorter compared to the Daang Hari-Alabang-Zapote route to Makati and 3-km shorter than the Commerce Avenue-Filinvest route to Makati City.<\/p>\n<p>The Ayala Corporation has invested around Php2.2 billion in the project and will operate and maintain the road for 30 years in partnership with Egis, a toll concession operator from France.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_56977\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-56977\" style=\"width: 960px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/noy-aquino-SLEX-MCX-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-56977\" src=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/noy-aquino-SLEX-MCX-3.jpg\" alt=\"President Benigno S.
