Last year\u2019s hunger incidence in the same quarter yielded 16.3%.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 12.7% experiencing involuntary hunger, 10.8% or about 2.4 million families experienced \u2018moderate hunger\u2019 or hunger felt \u2018once\u2019 or \u2018a few times\u2019 in the last three months, while 1.9% or 431,000 families experienced \u2018severe hunger\u2019 or hunger felt \u2018often\u2019 or \u2018always\u2019 in the said months.<\/p>\n<p>The SWS survey showed that the last three hunger surveys showed easing from the September 2014\u2019s 22% hunger incidence.<\/p>\n<p>In the geographical regions, however, the result varied.<\/p>\n<p>The number of Filipinos who experienced involuntary hunger rose in Metro Manila with 18.3% and in Visayas with 11.7%.
