{"id":52702,"date":"2015-06-23T15:28:47","date_gmt":"2015-06-23T07:28:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=52702"},"modified":"2015-06-23T15:30:51","modified_gmt":"2015-06-23T07:30:51","slug":"binays-performance-trust-ratings-increase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2015\/06\/23\/binays-performance-trust-ratings-increase\/","title":{"rendered":"Binay&#8217;s performance, trust ratings increase"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_26563\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-26563\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Jejomar-Jojo-Binay.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-26563\" src=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Jejomar-Jojo-Binay-300x205.jpg\" alt=\"Vice President Jejomar 'Jojo' Binay (Facebook photo)\" width=\"300\" height=\"205\" srcset=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Jejomar-Jojo-Binay-300x205.jpg 300w, https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Jejomar-Jojo-Binay.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-26563\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Vice President Jejomar &#8216;Jojo&#8217; Binay (Facebook photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA &#8212; Vice President Jejomar Binay&#8217;s overall performance and trust ratings increased in the latest survey conducted by Pulse Asia.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the record low ratings of Binay&#8217;s approval and trust ratings, owing to the allegations of corruption thrown against him and his family, Binay&#8217;s ratings improved in the recent survey.<\/p>\n<p>His approval rating of 46 percent in March increased to 58 percent in June as well as his trust rating of 57 percent, also earning a double-digit increase from 42 percent last March.<\/p>\n<p>Binay is currently facing corruption allegations for his alleged involvement in the overpriced construction of the Makati City Hall Building II.<\/p>\n<p>He was also accused of keeping numerous bank accounts containing large amount of money beyond his legal income.<\/p>\n<p>Binay was also linked in other issues including ownership of various condominium units, agricultural estates and the alleged anomalous deal \u00a0to develop the\u00a0Boy Scouts of the Philippines&#8217; (BSP&#8217;s) propery in Makati.<\/p>\n<p>Binay&#8217;s camp welcomed the results of the survey adding that it only shows the people&#8217;s trust and support to the the Vice President, despite the allegations raised against him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMore importantly, it highlights that attacking the Vice President does not make his political opponents prepared for the job of the presidency,\u201d Vice President\u2019s political spokesman, Rico Quicho, said as quoted in a Philippine Daily Inquirer report by Ana Roa.<\/p>\n<p>In the same report, Sen. Nancy Binay, the vice president&#8217;s daughter, also thanked everyone for their continued support and trust in her father.<\/p>\n<p>Sen.
