MANILA — Malaca\u00f1ang may no longer expect the passage of their version of the Bangsamoro Basic Law, as the Senate may revise nearly half of it, according to Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr.<\/p>\n

Marcos said in a Philippine Daily Inquirer report by Leila Salaverria that he is currently drawing up the list of amendments he wants to propose and come up with a substitute bill.<\/p>\n

Nearly half of the original draft of the BBL may be revised, according to Marcos.<\/p>\n

The revisions may include the controversial opt-in provision which will allow the expansion of the proposed Bangsamoro region.<\/p>\n

Marcos added that it may also include revisions on the provisions that will affect financial and business communities not just in the new region but on the surrounding areas.<\/p>\n

The senator added that he will present a draft substitute bill once the list of his proposed amendments is done.<\/p>\n
