Mark Villar recently filed a bill that seeks to fine business establishments for not giving the exact change to customers.<\/p>\n<p>Villar, who is the chairperson of the House Committee of Trade and Industry said it is important for establishments to give the exact change as every single peso counts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Villar filed House Bill 4730 or the Exact Change Act which will fine violators from\u00a0P500 and P25,000 or 3 percent to 10 percent of the gross sales of the establishment.<\/p>\n<p>The Exact Change Act has been approved on third reading in the Lower House.<\/p>\n<p>Store counters will be asked to put signs reminding customers to demand for the exact change.<\/p>\n<p>They will also be asked to use price tags with \u00a0the incorporated applicable tax.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Kahit maliit ang mga coins na &#8216;di naibibigay, &#8216;pag naipon &#8216;yan malaki na rin &#8216;yan<\/em>,&#8221; Villar said.<\/p>\n<p>(However small the amount of those coins are, if you put them all together, the amount will still be big.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA &#8212;\u00a0Las Pinas Rep.
