MANILA — The hit musical comedy “Rak of Aegis” bagged 11 awards during the annual Philstage’s Gawad Buhay awarding ceremony on Thursday at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino.<\/p>\n

PETA’s musical won the\u00a0Outstanding Original Musical and Outstanding Ensemble Performance for a Musical awards.<\/p>\n

Its director, Maribel Legarda also won for her\u00a0Outstanding Stage Direction and the play’s Liza Magtoto won\u00a0the Original Libretto award.<\/p>\n

Actors \u00a0who also won awards included Kim Molina and Pepe Herrera who were both recognized for their Outstanding Female Lead Performance in a Musical and Outstanding Male Featured Performance in a Musical, respectively.<\/p>\n

The play’s choreographer Gio Gahol and the costume designer, Carlo Pagunaling also brought home awards.<\/p>\n

The musical features the story of a fictional urban community beset with floods.<\/p>\n
